A 10 minute stroll brings you to the lakeshore where steamers can take you on trips around England's largest lake. Guided tours, walking or by coach, are also available locally. We have a whole range of ideas so you can plan what to do with your stay in the Lake District.
Bowness on Windermere has it all, it's great for a one night stay but much better for a weekend or midweek break.
